1st Year Player
More Balance To Support Proper Strides
When starting to skate you cannot stop or turn properly. Therefore, the Profile should provide the skater with balance. That way you have more time on your feet to work on your stride. A 17’ profile will speed up development for all beginners.
2nd & 3rd Year Player
Reduce Balance For More Mobility
When you find your balance and stride technic, it is time to provide you with better conditions for more mobility to do starts, stops, and turns. The 14’ will add to easier development.
Winger & Offensive Defensemen
Aggressive Acceleration, Increased Speed, And Stability
The very short radius in the front allows the skater to put more pressure on the front of the skate blade, which increases friction, allowing for faster starts.
The longer radius in the middle supports higher top speed with less effort and the transition from accelerating. All of which increases endurance towards the end of the game.
The very long radius in the back provides you with perfect stability. The added stability is great in tight turns, puck battles, evading opponents, and when you are shooting to score a goal.
Zuperior is the perfect fit for a player like Brad Marchand because he is a quick, small ice area winger, that likes to use quick bursts to evade opponents. The increased stability allows him to play heavy on the puck.
Centers & Defensive Defensemen
Faster Speed With Perfect Body Control
This profile is for players who need to cover a lot of ice. You feel balanced on your skates when transitioning from gliding to striding or forwards to backwards. It provides proper support in the skating stride to cover opponents or support line-mates on the ice. It maximizes full stride length.
It provides faster acceleration than your standard single radius.
You keep the mobility you are used to from the short radius, but supports smoother transitions versus the Zuperior.
With the longer mid radius you gain higher speeds with less effort, which increases endurance towards the end of the game.
The Quad profile is for skaters that like control and want to spend less effort to get faster.
Also, it is a very popular choice for men’s league players.
All Around Skater
This profile is a natural balance point between power and agility based on your skating mechanics.
This profile encourages use of the entire blade, giving you a seamless feel from toe to heel and back.
The Ellipse delivers greater blade contact through each zone and maximizes the skater’s ability.
