We are the pro shop located inside the PSM Icehouse. If you love hockey, care about gear, and enjoy leading a team, this might be the job for you! We’re looking for a Full-Time Shift Lead to help run our hockey retail store and deliver an awesome experience to every customer who walks through the door.
The Details
- Full-time: 40 hours per week, typically 4–5 days
- Pay: $18–$24/hour + 1.5x overtime
- Weekly direct deposit

What You'll be Doing
Scheduling & Team Support
- Manage your monthly schedule
- Willing to cover & trade shifts
- Comfortable working morning & evening weekend shifts
- Sharpening Ice Skates
- Repairing Ice Skates
- Fitting/Selling Hockey Skates and Equipment
- Cashier Duties
- Stock Inventory
Customer Service & Store Culture

Technology & Communication
- Use POS Systems and Computers Daily
- Handle Special Orders & Online Sales
- Navigate inventory across multiple Locations
- Assist with inventory transfers
- Communicate via email, phone, and internal messgaing
- Use online resources to grow your hockey and equipment knowledge
Retail Sales
- Ensure every customer is helped
- Lead staff on daily tasks & projects
- Create clean, organized, & eye-catching displays
- Hold team members accountable for keeping the store looking great
Fitting, Maintenance, & Repairs
- Fit customers with the right equipment
- General maintenance and deodorizing
- Professional skate sharpening
- Skate blade profiling
- Skate repairs - Rivets, eyelets, blades, holders, tonuges, tendon guards
- Basic sewing - velcro, elastic, glove patches, etc.
What we are looking for?
- Retail experience (lead or keyholder experience is a plus)
- Strong hockey and equipment knowledge (or willingness to learn)
- Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented
- Comfortable leading others and taking initiative
